APNews.com | Democracts are licking their wounds after GOP political newcomer Glen Youngkin defeated Democratic former Governor Terry McAuliffe to win the Virginia Governor's race. The GOP swept the Governor, Lt. Governor and Attorney General races in Virginia. Youngkin won in part by keeping an arm's-length from the divisive egoist former president Trump. Exit polls showed Youngkin was viewed more favorably than Trump.
